Some of the awards we are hoping you will consider nominating us for:

  • The criteria

Independent retailers are crucial in keeping our high streets vibrant, unique and representative of the area they serve – and key for driving customers into our towns and villages. Without them our towns and villages look and feel the same as everywhere else. If your independent retail business is unique and stands out from the rest, then this category is for you.

    What we say:

Tracy James Hearing is an independent audiology service that prides itself on its personalised hearing care, from its experienced audiologists. One of our core values is to ensure that we provide informed choice from the whole market when it comes to hearing aids. Being completely independent, we can offer an extensive range of hearing aids from a variety of manufacturers, rather than being tied to just one or two suppliers. This means we can focus on what is right for you, your hearing needs, lifestyle and personal preferences.

In Summery, what makes us different?

    • We offer expert, long-term care and aftercare

    • We provide informed choices from the whole market

    • You’re more than a client to us, you’re valued

  • The Criteria:

Customer experience is a top differentiator in today's business world. If your business leaves no stone unturned to ensure customers are delighted at every stage of the journey, then this is the category for you.

    What we say:

There could not be a category more fitting to Tracy James Hearing than ‘Best Customer Experience’.

We differentiate ourselves from the high street when it comes to hearing care, because of the following:

    • Our skill and experience level is unusual in private audiology care. Therefore, any person with an ongoing medical difficulty with their ears or hearing who have been told that hearing aids are not right for them - are likely to find a diagnosis and/or a solution with us.

    • We are not sales people but healthcare professionals. We go out of our way to ensure our clients feel comfortable and at ease and that our results /outcomes are shared along the way

    • We are not owned by hearing aid manufacturers, nor are we tied into sales figures for preferential rates – meaning that we can provide an informed choice from the whole market

    • We will identify the right hearing aid for you based on your needs and preferences, but also with our knowledge of the different strengths/advantages of the various hearing aid types and brands.

    • You will see the same audiologist for your hearing and ear care. This allows for continuity of care but also enabling a relationship with us as people to be established – an area that is often undervalued

    • We verify our hearing aids with real-ear measurements and speech testing, to ensure that our outcomes are achieved.

    • As well as our hearing tests for hearing aids service (for both adults and children) we also offer services such as diagnostics, wax removal, tinnitus management and hearing and ear protection

    • We also offer wax removal and hearing test home visit services for those who are not mobile or are unable to leave the house.

    • We will work with significant others and other professionals in your care to ensure streamless working

    • We offer longer appointments

    • Our aim is to look after you for the long-term. Our 5 year-warranty and commitment to after-care (our free hearing aid clean and check every 6 months is testament to that)

    • We have client parking (2 spaces)

    • We have single-level access for wheelchairs / disability from the car parks

    • We have a children’s waiting area and baby-changing area and toilet

    • Satisfaction from our client-base is very high (see Google reviews) and the majority of our clients are referred by word-of-mouth and will continue to return

  • The Criteria:

Innovation is what drives business and society forward – but that doesn’t make it easy. This category will go to an organisation that can demonstrate extraordinary levels of innovation in their product or service offering. Digital, physical – it doesn’t matter – if you can prove how innovative you've been this award could be yours.

    What we say:

At Tracy James Hearing we are constantly looking towards new ideas and innovative services we can offer to improve hearing health and hearing awareness in the community.

We offer a unique variety of services including specialism in tinnitus, dementia and for those with learning difficulties and complex needs.

We also have the capacity to conduct Children’s Hearing Tests, West Berkshire from 6 months and above, including auditory processing.

We also offer wax removal and hearing test home visit services for those who are not mobile or are unable to leave the house.

All these services would be challenging for you to find on their own. However we offer all of these services at Tracy James Hearing.

We are training providers (members of the Higher Education Academy) and give talks regarding hearing health in the wider community and local businesses. Next year we are planning our next community awareness event for March 3rd - World Hearing Day. A day for raising awareness on hearing loss prevention and promoting ear and hearing health.

We are also a recycling centre drop off point for recycled hearing aids that are then repurposed and donated for reuse for those that need them both in the UK and around the world (Africa, Pakistan and Eastern European countries such as Ukraine)

We provide hearing aids with the most up-to-date technology, such as Bluetooth pairings, the use of AI to inform the digital chip within the hearing aid how the client prefers to listen / hear in difficult environments. (The aid will continue to learn when it enters that environment again.) custom aids with rechargeability, in-the-canal aids with Bluetooth, remote microphones and table microphones (to name but a few).

We offer sound-proof testing facilities and purpose-built paediatric facilities for our hearing service. We are the only independent paediatric testing facility (6 months to 3 years) outside of the NHS in West Berkshire.

  • The criteria:

Providing professional services is no mean feat and must meet the clients exacting standards. Your service makes all the difference to a business being a success or an individual getting the support they need, whether that be finding a new home or financial advice. To enter this award you must be providing an exemplary service within your field.
