Introducing the NEW Widex SmartRIC Hearing Aid
NEW ANGLES OF NATURAL HEARING
“The Widex SmartRIC can help wearers engage with the world as naturally as possible with better directionality, reduced wind and touch noise, and improved battery life, the longest battery life yet for a Widex RIC.” - Widex
Why RIC?
The Receiver in the canal (RIC) hearing aids are similar to the commonly known behind the ear (BTE) hearing aids as they rest comfortably behind the ear.
However, RIC aids are smaller, comfortable, and more discrete with a thin wire that connects to a speaker inside the opening of the ear.
The speaker inside the ear enables discreet sound delivery, the open fit design also helps sound pass naturally into your ear whilst still providing the amplification needed simultaneously.
Why SMART?
Developed in a groundbreaking L-shaped form, the Widex SmartRIC places the microphones at an improved angle.
Why does the microphone angle matter?
By placing the SmartRIC higher up on the ear, the angle between the two microphones is closer to horizontal. This enables the hearing aid to align with what you are focusing on, resulting in clearer speech in noisy situations. This enhancement is designed to help you engage in social situations and live your life more fully.
What else is great about the SmartRIC?
Why WIDEX?
Widex advanced technology crafts a natural hearing experience
Widex has always been an industry leader when it comes to hearing aid signal processing time. Widex PureSound™ is an ultra-fast signal processing pathway that offers the most natural sound for hearing aid users with mild to moderate hearing loss. This is made possible by their ZeroDelay™ technology,
Tailor made hearing aid amplification
Everyone's ear canals are different, with their own unique shape, size, curves, and grooves. So, Widex tailor their hearing aid amplification to the individual user, instead of basing it on data gained from artificial measurements, recorded using an artificial ear.
Natural Sound and reduced background noise combined
Widex believe that in most situations natural sound is better than aggressive processing. However, in specific noisy situations where you need support, they use technology to reduce background noise, helping you focus on what you want to hear.
“The innovative microphone placement of the SmartRIC is the next step in the evolution of how we support hearing in noisy situations” - Widex
